Institute for Applied Health Sciences

The Institute for Applied Health Sciences is a four-storey facility that is a unique partnership between of two health care educators, McMaster University and Mohawk College.

Located within the main McMaster Campus at 1280 Main Street West, it is home to full-time and part-time students from both Mohawk College and McMaster University.

The Institute houses McMaster University’s School of Rehabilitation Science, which offers master’s degree programs in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Science, and Speech-Language Pathology and conducts research to advance knowledge in the rehabilitation field.

The building hosts 35 classrooms and tutorial rooms, an amphitheatre, and state-of-the-art laboratories.

Offices

The Speech-Language Pathology Program Office is located on the 4th floor of the Institute for Applied Health Sciences (IAHS), in room 403/E.

Classrooms

The Speech-Language Pathology Program has a dedicated classroom on the 3rd floor of the Institute for Applied Health Sciences (IAHS), room 357.

Classes also take place in other classrooms in IAHS, as well as in the Anatomy Lab in the McMaster Health Sciences Centre.

Anatomy Lab Educational Program in Anatomy

Students have classes in the anatomy lab in the Hamilton Health Sciences Building on the main campus. More information can be found on the anatomy lab website.
